Play as you would throw a pot: for the joy of it

Why a free studio still says 18+

Social casino games share the look, the sound and the tempo of real gambling, which is why Kiln Lane Pottery is meant only for adults over the legal gambling age and is never aimed at anyone under 18. We confirm age twice: on the banner that meets you at the studio door, and through a tick you must give while creating your account.

Pots Fettle will never throw

• Offer real-money gambling, or put in a word for it.
• Award a prize with real-world value, not even a single mug.
• Sell coins, or fit an in-app purchase on any reel.
• Point you down the lane to gambling operators or their affiliates.
• Press you to come back with countdowns or streaks.

A plain word from the potter

A free game can be set up to feel generous, and it tops your balance up for nothing. Real-money games do neither. Doing well here tells you nothing about how you would fare with money at stake.

Hairline cracks worth spotting early

• Spinning on well past the time you set yourself.
• Turning snappish the moment you leave the reels.
• Turning to the reels to get away from a low mood.
• Hours slipping away from sleep, work or the people you care about.
• Wishing the reels paid real money, and looking for ones that do.

Keeping a steady hand on the wheel

• Before you sit at the reels, decide when you will get up again, as you would set a kiln timer.
• Leave autoplay alone; spin by hand.
• Step away from the bench for regular breaks.
• Wiping this site’s data sends everything back to raw clay; if you mean to stop for good, block the site in your device settings.
